“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us” 2 Corintios 4:7
I met Jesus Christ as my personal Savior at the age of sixteen. I will never forget that beautiful night when my life changed drastically. God gave such a sense to my life that I could see and enjoy life for the first time. My wife, Noemi, grew up in my same neighborhood. Thanks to the persistency of her Grandmother, she met the Lord at the age of twelve. Before getting married, God had already called us to work in the ministry separately. We both had the chance to prepare ourselves for a better service for our Lord. We got married in August of 1994. God has blessed me with a helper suitable and woman of God, and two lovely children: Manny (11) and Mercy (3). To join Daystar Baptist Missions has been all God’s idea. We are so glad to spend our lives through this ministry. As Dominicans, we are so honored to serve in our own country and from here be able to carry on, through God’s help and a great team, an ambitious vision to impact San Pedro de Macoris, the Dominicana Republic and the whole world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. -Miguel Mercedes
