Church Purchases Strategic Building on Faith

UPDATE... God has provided the $50,000! Praise the Lord!!

On February 21, the church voted unanimously to purchase a strategic building, which had just recently gone up for sale, for its new church home. The building, a historic, brick warehouse, is being liquidated by a Dominican rum company which is moving its operations to the capital city. The church put down $100,000 and now has 60 days (until May 20, 2010) in order to pay the $50,000 balanceThe Lord has provided!!.

The building is an incredible deal and not like anything that has ever been presented to the church in its more than two year search. The church has outgrown its current, rented facility and has been squeezed out on finding another adequate piece of property because of the rising property prices. Gary Hale, senior pastor and team leader, sees the many benefits of the property.

All donations are processed by Daystar Baptist Missions, which is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. All donations are tax deductible. A donor receipt will be provided for each donation transaction and will be sent to the mailing address you provide during your Paypal transaction.

“God has opened up a tremendous opportunity for a church that just dares to continue to touch the world from San Pedro,” Hale said. “This piece of property is about four times the size of our current, rented property, it sits in one of the best possible places for visibility, it has more parking than any other property in the city because it sits in front of the port, and the building itself is a unique historical landmark in San Pedro. We estimate we could grow to a size of 750-1,000 people at this location.”

While the church has taken on the responsibility to pay the $100,000 loan (a significant step in itself), the balance of $50,000 is an URGENT prayer request. The church MUST pay the $50,000 in 60 days (May 20, 2010). There are no plans or guarantees; the church is simply relying on God to do a miracle.The Lord has provided!!
