Short Term Groups

While you certainly can gain an appreciation for the DR Vision by way of a DVD presentation or by talking to one of our missionaries, the best way to understand the DR Vision is to come alongside the missionary team in a one week, short-term missions trip.  Strategically planned to utilize the strengths and gifts of your group, these short-term trips encourage the local church and, at the same time, challenge your group members to expand their missions vision.

There are a lot of ways that a group can be a blessing and help to the DR Vision. You might think of working on a construction project on Visionland (the ministry’s 46 acre campus), networking with the church’s baseball league, working alongside the church’s youth group, or assisting in one of the many children outreaches. Additionally, specialized groups such as medical teams and talented musical groups have been effective in opening new ministry opportunities.

Your group will enjoy building friendships with national Christians that have a passion for serving the Lord.  As you serve alongside of them, you will gain a new appreciation and respect for their joy and faithfulness in serving the Lord. Often, some of the richest blessings from the trip are the lessons that are learned during these times of sharing, ministering, and worshipping together.
