I remember staring up at the ceiling as an eight-year old boy while in my bedroom and realizing that I was a sinner on my way to an eternal Hell. In the quietness of my room, I recognized that Jesus had paid my penalty on the cross and was offering me salvation. Though I didn’t understand all the great theological truths that I now hold dear, I simply called on Jesus to save me from my sins and be my personal Savior.
