I was already a missionary when my wife and I got married in 2000. For the first couple of years of our marriage, we enjoyed coordinating short-term missions trips to the Dominican Republic. Yet, suddenly one summer, the Lord unsettled us in a way we had not expected. Suddenly, we felt burdened for the lack of solid churches in the Dominican Republic. The Lord impressed upon our hearts the need to work fulltime in the Dominican Republic. In the summer of 2003, Alli and I, along with our team members, Doug and Paula Hodges, moved to the Dominican Republic to work fulltime. As they say, the rest is history. Though the ministry presents its challenges, it is the greatest joy to be working in the context of a team for a goal that is much higher than ourselves; our desire is to make a significant, lasting impact for the cause of Christ.
