As Gary and I were working in missions bringing young people to the Dominican Republic on short term missions trips, God made it very clear to both of us that there lacked an emphasis in church planting and leadership training in San Pedro.   We understood that God wanted us to move to San Pedro to begin serving.  In June 2003 we arrived and with the help of Doug and Paula Hodges (my parents) and the group of college interns we began the church in August of that same year.  It is exciting to be used of God in this type of ministry where He moves and guides you every step of the way.
